Summer Fayre and Dog Show 2014
We shall be holding our annual Summer Fayre and Dog Show on Sunday 24 August from 10 am until 5 pm.
This year’s Dog Show will be bigger than ever, with a grand total of 40 classes across 2 arenas, so bring along your dogs and see if your dog can go home sporting one of our rosettes, with you in tow carrying an Arden Grange goodie bag!
We have 3 fabulous judges: -
- That brilliant actor, Cameron Jack, will be travelling down from London to judge some of our classes and we’re hoping he may be bringing his own dog, Melvyn, with him too. Cameron is a star of stage and screen – including, among others (theatre) South Pacific, We Will Rock You, Les Miserables; (TV) Man Down, Quick Cuts, Doctors, The Bill; (film) The Dark Knight Rises, Les Miserables, Wandering Rose – and he is a great supporter of Futures For Dogs. He has also kindly volunteered to take part in the Major Series in Tunbridge Wells on 4th October. It’s a very gruelling 10-12 Km assault course, full of nasty surprises (ice baths, rivers, electric shocks etc!) and Cameron will be running for Futures For Dogs! http://www.cameronjack.co.uk/
- Carol Price, who is a leading canine behaviourist and fascinating writer, specialising particularly in Border Collies and rescue dogs. She is a regular expert advisor/contributor for both Your Dog and Dogs Today magazines and author of the best-selling books Understanding the Rescue Dog and Understanding the Border Collie.
- Jeremy Pearson (BSc BVSc MSc MRCVS), who is the Principal at the wonderful Animal House Veterinary Services. He is qualified as a general veterinary practitioner but is actively studying to become a specialist in equine medicine. Upon completion he will obtain a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice from the Royal Veterinary College.
The classes are: -
In addition to the show classes, there will be lots to do, including various stalls, tombola, bouncy castle and a variety of refreshments.
